REPUBLIC DAY 2021
Republic day is a national holiday in India. On 26th January 2021, India celebrates its 72nd Republic day. It honors the date on which the Constitution of India came into effect on 26 January 1950 replacing the Government of India Act (1935) as the governing document of India and thus, turning the nation into a newly formed republic.
On this day, the army parades in front of Raj Bhavan and also shows many tricks. Many puffs are also shown on this day. Each state has its own separate puffs. On this day, the Prime Minister and the President of India address the country.
The Constitution was adopted by the Indian Constituent Assembly on 26 November 1949 and came into effect on 26 January 1950 with a democratic government system, completing the country's transition towards becoming an independent republic. 26 January was chosen as the date for Republic day because it was on this day in 1929 when the Declaration of Indian Independence (Purna Swaraj) was proclaimed by the Indian National Congress as opposed to the Dominion status offered by the British Regime.
History of Republic Day
While we got independence from British rule on August 15, 1947, our country was still lacking a concrete constitution. Moreover, India also did not have any experts and political powers which would help in the functioning of the state affairs smoothly. Up until then, the 1935 Government of India Act was basically modified in order to govern, however, that act was more bent towards colonial rule. Therefore, there was a dire need to form an exclusive constitution that would reflect all that India stands for.
Thus, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar led a constitutional drafting committee on August 28, 1947. After drafting, it was presented to the Constituent Assembly by the same committee on November 4, 1947. This whole procedure was very elaborate and took up to 166 days to complete. Moreover, the committee organized sessions were kept open to the public.
No matter the challenges and hardships, our constitutional committee left no stone unturned to include rights for all. It aimed to create the perfect balance so all citizens of the country could enjoy equal rights pertaining to their religions, culture, caste, sex, creed, and more. At last, they presented the official Indian constitution to the country on January 26, 1950.
Moreover, the first session of the India Parliament was also conducted on this day. In addition to that, 26th January also witnessed the swearing-in of India’s first president, Dr. Rajendra Prasad. Thus, this day is very important as it marks the end of British rule and the birth of India as a Republic State.

Speech On Republic Day-
1st Speech On Republic Day-
26th January 1930 marked the first Fake Independence day which the country used to observe when the Congress had asked the British to comply on certain requirements, which if not followed would be declared as the independence day for the country.
After India got the actual independence on 15th August 1947, the committee under the leadership of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar brought up the new Constitution of India which replaced the Government of India Act of 1935.
The purna Swaraj declaration of 1930 got a new appearance when the old fake independence day got vanishing after we got the actual independence.
When India became independent from the British rule, there was a lot of rework to be done to save our country from becoming a hell. It was a time when people were fighting with each other for each and everything.
The Independent republic of India was officially born on 26th January 1950 after being for nearly 100 years under the British rule.
The ceremonies of 1950 marked the cutting down of the last ties of of India to Britain. The first Indian president got sworn in, is Dr. Rajendra Prasad whose words were as follows: -
“Today, for the first time in our long and chequered history,” he said, “we find the whole of this vast land… brought together under the jurisdiction of one constitution and one union which takes over responsibility for the welfare of more than 320 million men and women who inhabit it.”
Today, the country still fights the crime and violence which has a different design than that of earlier times.
Prior to Independence, the crime and violence had the name of British.
Now the crime and violence has the name of terrorist, rape, burglary, riots, strikes and the taking of lives of valued citizens.
Even after becoming republic, we are not free of the terrorism which is pulling our country from the main stream of countries in the path of development and progress.
Poverty, illiteracy, unemployment are the three major factors which is pulling us back and making people to sort to the bad ways of living life.
Still with all these problems, Unity in diversity has been the biggest symbol of our country. I feel that we make our progress in the good direction in the coming days and the feeling of oneness remains in the progressive days of tomorrow.Happy Republic Day
2nd Speech On Republic Day-
In 1857 some real patriots stood up for the country and started a revolution against the British Raj. After a very long time and different-different revolution at several places finally we became free on 15 August, 1947. Then some rules and regulation were required to drive the country. So a committee was organized, which was given the work of writing the constitution for India.
After the constitution was ready it came into effect from 26 January 1950, since then every year we remind that auspicious day and celebrate it as our Republic day. This day is called because India became a republic country from this day.
When we became republic country, things started changing. The command of country was in the people of the country. Elections were started and people selected their representative. For sure we have done a lot of Improvements after becoming republic but many problems like corruption and unemployment has grown up rapidly. So we need to find the solution for these problems, only then our country can become the best place on earth to live. Happy Republic Day
